Everyone at IGM was very excited when we originally started managing 8-Bit, but unfortunately many factors led to us deciding to no longer support the platform. It quickly became apparent that the site needed some massive coding changes to operate up to our standards and compete with sites like Kickstarter. Since we did not own the domain name/brand, we didn't think it was worth our investment of time/money and have instead decided to launch our own site that will support Alpha/Beta games. IndieGameStand is a unique site that spotlights indie games and handpicks the best indie game developers out there. Anyone who has a playable build of their game can submit their game and the site supports more payment processors than just Paypal. We hope everyone understands the need for us to build our own brand and system to support developers rather than rebuild 8-bit to compete with the popularity of Kickstarter.

The Indie-UP Mission! We want to create a resource where indie developers can distribute their games as a bundle and receive funding for the development of their current project. We believe that indie developers have a big impact on the gaming industry, despite being the underdogs. We hope that you choose to Indie-UP and support our campaign!
Why help the underdogs? If you believe that little dogs have big dreams, then know that indie developers have big dreams too. Indies take risks that big studios won't. Indies try ideas that wouldn't normally get tried. Indies spend hours and hours creating great games with little-to-no resources, funding or support. We want to help change that. Supporting our campaign ensures that indies have a place to distribute their game once it is complete. More importantly, we support the continued development of indie games. The only requirement to use our resource is that, developers who distributed with the IUP, offer a quality game in exchange and put the proceeds towards the development of their next or current indie game.
What your contributions are for: Your contributions go towards the six indie developer teams who have offered their games as rewards for this campaign. Each one of them is working towards their next project. You will help provide: Game resources such as music, art, or coding expertise. Software and development costs. The ability to continue working towards their vision and goal.
Your contributions also go towards the creation of the Indie Underdog Pack: a resource for indie developers to distribute their games and fund continued development of their project. This includes: A secure web site that protects user information and confidentiality. A server to host, store and support the vast amounts of data necessary. Support and maintenance of the web infrastructure.

Bundle Game Descriptions
Magi is a mix of strategy and fighting presented in a game about wizard duels. It's very challenging and the focus was on making every spell and tactic balanced and viable. The fighting game formula makes it playable in short bursts, so it's like a casual game with hardcore difficulty. Something that older gamers with less free time can appreciate. You can jump in and have some oldschool fun in minutes.
Caveman Craig: SE is a survival RTS... instead of just 'buying' units to build up your tribe, you actually have to go and demonstrate tasks to otherwise useless cavemen so that they can take over that task for you. For example, a gatherer must learn how to drag dinosaurs back into the cave for preparing. You grow your tribe as big as you can in order to defend yourself from dinosaurs and rival tribes. Hunters and some special bonuses allow you to get involved in some epic man-on-dinosaur battles.
Potion Master takes a new spin on the Match-3 concept by allowing the player greater flexibility, fewer restrictions and magic spells to destroy mass amounts of potion bottles. You can play a level in a few minutes or find yourself playing for a few hours. The abundance of levels, connected with an easy to pick up but hard to master style of play keep it challenging and fun. There are various objectives to achieve and different paths to take, but the game plays at your pace. The Alchemy theme and pleasant music make for a fun experience.
You shoot up a bunch of aliens in a procedurally generated set of levels with random weapons and encounters. The difficulty level adjusts as you fight during different levels to keep the challenge pressured on you. It has an overall casual feel, so if youre a competitive person who wants a game that you can easily pick up and put down from time to time, then its most likely for you.
Animal Blast is an arcade flying game where you compete against time. Your mission is to complete all 48 stages as quickly as possible. The game features six playable characters and six worlds to explore. The graphics style and grotesque exploding animals will have you laughing from the start!
